Creature Cataloguer
i thought i had already done this, but i guess not.
i'm looking to compile a list of all fey creatures from previous editions of the game which have yet to be converted to 3E stats in an official source. it strikes me that perhaps fey are underrepresented in 3E, so maybe this would make a good proposal to send to Dragon magazine.
we have a few new ideas to work with as well, but you know how we at the Creature Catalog site love our conversions.
specifically, i want the name of the creature, and where it can be found. i'll start by getting some of the obvious ones out of the way:
Monster Manual (1977):
Brownie
Leprechaun
Fiend Folio (1981):
Booka
Forlarren
Killmoulis
Monster Manual II (1983):
Atomie
Buckawn
Korred
Nereid
Quickling
so, i am building a list of everything that there ever has been. come on, maybe it was in a hardcover book, a module, Dragon or Dungeon magazine, a boxed set, a regional sourcebook, any campaign setting, any edition, but all must be official TSR products of course.
some creatures require interpretation to decide if they are actually fey or something else (Monstrous Humanoid, Aberration, something else?) but if you think it could qualify as a fey, go ahead and mention it.
"A fey is a creature with supernatural abilities and connections to nature or to some other force or place. Fey are usually [but, not necessarily always] human-shaped."
