Feybruary

Shade

Monster Junkie
It's Feybruary!

Expect to see alot of fey popping up in the various threads this month. There aren't a whole lot of fey still needing conversion, so we should be able to nearly finish them off this month.

Thanks to my inability to reach ENWorld at all yesterday, I had plenty of time to compile the various stat blocks and get them ready to go.

Sprites
Skills: All sprites have a +2 racial bonus on Search, Spot, and Listen checks.

Everyone seems to be jumping on the fey bandwagon lately.

On primetime local TV, there's a daily show that features a fey family posing as human. For some reason their ancestors have been imprisoned/exiled, and they await the birth of a fey child who will unluck the gate to the prison and release the fey into the mortal world. And as a bonus, they will regain their powers, which for most of them have dwindled to almost nothing. The title character, as you might guess, is the unsuspecting half-fey/half-human child, who has a twin sister in shadow form. It's nearing the climax because the patriach of the family, the grandfather of the twins, has been fatally shot by a superstitious townsman and a preview of the next episode show the twins opening the gate of the prison.

As I'm typing this, Luna ("moon") and her shadow twin Celestina ("star") have entered the spaces between the roots of the enchanted banyan tree to release the Unseelie fey, while the leader of the Seelie fey is worried about their release. Remember the Philippine monsters we converted in another thread? The tikbalang is there among the Seelie fey.
