This came up when I was comparing a Ranger to a Warlock class as Strikers.
A Ranger could do roughly the same, though they must find natural cover rather then take advantage of concealment given by just moving so many squares.
Any comments or discussions if I got my rules wrong? Or maybe a change that could work better. I might just be completely wrong with the Shadow Walk.
Huh, looking through the MM, I'm tempted to change the race to Drow and then laugh as he shows up as an enemy NPC that the party has to deal with. Never head on, but attempting to protect a mark the Drow version is trying to take out.
Basically, this is an attempt at a ranged and stealthy assassin. The Warlock's Shadow Walk gives you concealment to hide in each time you move at least 3 squares away, giving you the concealment needed to stay hidden or rehide. You throw Warlock Curses amongst your foes then pepper them with arrows, then move to hide amongst the concealment once again. Misty Step is used to keep an enemy guessing just where you are when you hide, Warlock's Leap is used to teleport past the guarded door so the guard's won't notice it opening as you pass by. Invisibility from Eyebite and Infuriating Elusiveness is used for emergency hiding/concealment. And the Ranger's attacks to pack a devastating punch against one target that has to die fast or to take advantage of String of Fate for multiple attacks against 10 Vulnerability. Delusions of Loyalty is also a nice option, as you can prevent one target from taking any standard action at the cost of one turn's standard action and any follow-up turn's minor action to sustain it. Though if someone does successfully Spot you and makes an attack at you, the poor deluded target under its power will attempt to make a basic attack against him for you.Gimmick: Enemies do not fear you, they don't even know you. To them, you are as substantial as the Shadow of an Arrow and the happy whistling they hear when they discover the massacre you leave in your wake.
