Fey'ri need to have detect secret doors within 5 ft?

Heres a question...Fey'ri (Sun Elves + Demons *succubi*)...so they get Detect Secret doors within 5 ft?...while its not written in their entries in RoF, i'm wondering whether they infact gain other Elven traits *though, i'm not sureif it says they do or don't*...

In general/logically shouldn't they gain this ability just as normal elves do? or is it like a half-elves, in that they dont' get this ability?

I'd say no. Half human/Half elves don't get it, Half demon/half elves shouldn't get it either.

But a Sun Elf with the Half Fiend template would get the Secret Doors ability.

They aren't really "proper" elves - they're pretty much their own distinct race derived from fiends and elves. If it's not in the fey'ri description, they don't get it.

True, but Fey'ri (side note: I hate that word. How the hell do you pronounce it and not sound like a dumbass with a mouth full of hot soup trying to say faerie?) arn't just elves with a template, they're their own seperate race. Sorta like if they made a Half Human template, because face it.. humans will sleep with anything, and slapped that on a Sun Elf it'd still have different stats than just a normal Half Elf.

Fey'ri aren't half demon, half elf. They're more like elf tieflings.

Having said that, why do elves get that weird ability? Do fey'ri live in forest cities with hidden doors?

I have a player playing a Sun elf decendent from Fey'ri, basically a Half-Fey'ri. I gave it to him, mostly because the party has no rogue....
