FFG Dumping WFRP stuff...cancellation or yet another reprint edition?

Not sure how to take this... They're dumping their stock for next to nothing. Are we looking at cancellation or yet another reprint of the 1e,2e,3e old fluff? What does it usually mean when a company dumps their stock of a particular game?

Opinions, hopes and speculations?

A whole bunch of American RPG companies are having sales right now. I don't think there's anything to read into it. Isn't it Thanksgiving followed by "Black Friday" over there or something?

Just the time of year. I assume most folks here are more familiar with it than I am. No added conspiracy!

Still, the sale is fairly targeted, so I say yes, they are gutting their stock of certain lines.

I would welcome a 4E WFRP that had rules closer to the 40kRPG rules as WFRP3E SHOULD have been. While I like WFRP2E, IMHO the ruleset was just a bit too dry, especially when compared to DH/RT/DW/BC/OW.

Well, isn't that just a kick in the teeth... I just tried ordering multiple copies of the Player's Guide for my players last week. Still not sure of that order was able to go through at the FLGS so if it didn't, maybe I'll try this sale.

Completely agree. the 40k lines took the good parts of 2e and made them better and more flavorful. I would love to see the old world given that same treatment. I wasnt a fan at all of the 3rd edition of warhammer

Looks more like storage cleaning for a new edition (or re-print) than a sale IMHO. They are not doing such things in their other RPG lines, and looking at their boardgames sale, it looks also like inventory cleaning.
