Some good illustrations, but most are... average. However, I thought the same about the pics in Race of Faerun and they look much better in print. Heck, the bhut manages to not look as dumb as it used to.

That said, those are not rilmani.

Fiend Folio looks really sweet.

Races of Faerun and Arms and Equipments had far less quality art.

Yea, I don't get it. What is Wizards doing with it's art department?

Well, most of it they "let go" what, last year?

Anyway, is it just me or do the Sarkrith look like D&D Sleestak? :P

at the risk of repeating myself..

I've been looking forward to the FF for quite some time. Been looking thru the art gallery and have been really impressed with what I've seen so far until the Ocularan:

renamed to the "Ass Monster"

This one looks like the artist was blocked and said hmm I think I'll just attach an ass to something with tentacles...

In my opinion FF is the best-illustrated of the WotC monster books. Except that I'm not a huge fan of Dennis Cramer's color work. Other than that, it's really good.

I'm suprised the above got picked on, but there haven't been any complaints about the century worm. Perhaps good taste is providing some reluctance, but I just want to know what Jeff Easley was thinking.

Wow, some great art there.
WAR is good as always and Sasso's Swordwraith is REALLY neat looking.
I like Kevin McCann and Puddnhead's stuff as well.

I really wish you hadn't pointed that out. My poor, virgin eyes :o
