Fiery Dragon -- anyone home?

I sent an e-mail to a host of FD folks with a question: I have the two Counter Packs, and I think the artwork is excellent. HOWEVER, it's way too small, and difficult to see in many cases, and the artwork is truncated to boot! Claudio has a few Counter Collection illustrations available on his website that are big enough to look at and potentially even use as DM handouts, but nothing at all like this for the Counter Pack stuff. Is there any way the FD folks could throw folks like me a bone on picking this stuff up? I'd gladly spend money on even something as simple as a zip file full of jpgs of this material for DM handouts (and just to admire the artwork at a size that is slightly more visible.)

Anyway, that e-mail was almost two weeks ago and I haven't heard a peep, so I was wondering if I picked up the wrong addresses, or something? Maybe I can get in touch with someone here...

I bet they're a busy bunch these days, what with all the new babies. They're both super-nice and usually post here on a regular basis. While you wait for them to respond, have you asked the artist Claudio about getting full-blown images? I agree that they would be useful as visual aids if you had the whole body. I'd buy them, and I'm the competition! :D

Eric, you're too gracious! :)

Ok, back on topic: the Fiery guys are experiencing a weird phenomenon called "change of servers". If you haven't had a reply in 2 weeks, either send the e-mail again, or (more guaranteed) post a message on the Fiery Dragon message boards. At any rate, I'll point a couple of the Fiery Ones to this thread too.

Game On!

Hey - did I get through?

Sorry Josh,

Typed up a big response to this thread last week, only to have the boards time out and see it get eaten. Tried to re-post from James' office (while he was in a meeting!) and same issue. Couldn't do it from home, either!

It seems that the techno-world is conspiring against FDP!

Oh yeah, and I'm desperately behind updating our website.

BUT: I know that James received your e-mail (and tried to reply, but I think he's got a virus or something!) and here's the thinking...

They're hesitant to make the images available in a digital hi-res format, 'cause that's their bread-n-butter with the counters. And, lo-res versions are hardly worth it. James will work on making a selection available from the website, though, a bit at a time. They'd thought about this but didn't know that there was demand, and your e-mail has prompted them to get off their butts...

So, in the next few weeks (I'll post here to announce), check the site (which I've GOT to update) and you'll start to find some larger images for handout use.

Wow, I hadn't checked this thread in a day or two, and as soon as I do, it's at the very top of the forum!

Thanks for the reply, Vince. I suppose having some of the images available is better than none of them. Thanks for the response.

I just heard from Jason Kempton, actually (on an unrelated matter). They're suffering from what he calls "babyitis", but are gearing up for some activity early next year.

Site's been updated today. Check out news about Queen of Lies coming to PDF...

As for me, I've got a 2-year old with a cold and a 5-week old with Pink Eye. Not a fun time.

However, I DID just see The Two Towers, so I can't really complain too much....

Uhh... how? Oh, and I should make it clear that I now hate you with a passion.

In Canada, the movie is distributed by Alliance Atlantis, and their home video division had it's Christmas Party for it's customers last night. I just happen to be in the home video industry, or as I like to call it, the "Bottom rung of the Entertainment ladder!"

The nice part is that they gave us the Fellowship of the Ring limited edition DVD set (with the bookends) as a gift! :)

This is really the only perk of the job, so now I wait for the next 12 months before seeing Return of the King! :)

Oh, and passionate hating totally understood! ;) My favourite bands always seem to click in the UK and perform every other weekend over there and have trouble drawing a crowd more than once every 5 years here...
