Fiery Dragon Productions: Awesome

Buying Piratecat's Of Sound Mind, published by Fiery Dragon, was probably one of the best DND purchases I have ever made. And not only am I looking forward to the rest of the series, as soon as I have the cash i'm going to order most of the Counter Collections.

When I bought Of Sound Mind, I just sort of expected an adventure, but low and behold I was rewarded with a whole page of counters (all of which were the actual monsters IN the adventure, not just random counters), and low and behold when I needed to photocopy the handouts on the back pages, I checked the website and they had a PDF of all of them, including the one that they didnt have room to print! I payed 15 bucks, and got another 10 bucks worth of stuff. I LOVE that company!

The guys at FD are indeed great. We had dinner at GenCon and had a great time.

And I can't say enough about how cool their counter products are. We used them at our demos at the convention and it worked out great.

I have most their counters (except AU which hasn't gotten in town yet)

They are darn handy.

Piece of advice if you need for storage. I use Small baggies I got from Office Depot and store them in a 4X6 file box with alphebetical dividers and have them alphebitized and this works out great for me. I store the few figs to large for the baggies inthe back of the box. It holds everything easily.

Answers to all questions

Hello all,

Thanks for the love. I would have chimed in a little earlier, but I've just finished sorting through 600+ e-mails awaiting my attention. I was hoping most were of the "Sell us more product" variety post-GenCon, but the majority seemed to be of the "cheap alternative to viagra!" variety that plagues my inbox.

First, the most important part: PRODUCTIONS! Fiery Dragon Productions! :)

Last year, we had so many people look at counters and ask how to store them that we worked out a deal for the counter trays this year. They're cheap (I believe they have a $3.00 SRP), and allowed us to seal the deal a few times.

We are working on making them available online. Still a lot of stuff to go through -- I'll let you know how it goes.

We had a great time at the con, and met a lot of friends, both new and old. My biggest disappointment was that Plague of Dreams, our adventure for Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed didn't arrive at the show until late Thursday afternoon. A lot of the people that were able to pick up their AU corebook will have to wait a few weeks as the product makes it to retail.

The counters did very well, and we've been approached by many many other companies looking to do business with us.

One day, hopefully not too far off, Atomic City will see the light of day! :) You should see the interior art! :)

Again, thanks for the kind words. For us, GenCon is a busy busy vacation from our day jobs. We work hard and take it very seriously, but our goal is to have the best time possible! And we met that goal again this year, due in large part to visits from the many posters and friends we've met on ENWorld.

So, thanks again everyone. Looks like we'll have a lot of interesting info coming your way soon!

- James

The FDP guys were also generous enough to donate some counter packs to the gathering at P.S. O'Rourkes. I scored some nifty Eldritch Horror counters. Many thanks.

This would be ideal. Thanks for looking into it. :)

Re: Answers to all questions

I'll chip in, FDP guys at GenCon were great. AU buyers (and DMs), be sure to pick up Plague of Dreams as soon as you can, it's a great kick off to your AU game. Another fine product, can't wait to spring it on my players.

And the counters are very well done, look forward to using them and not having to lug minis around. The selection and artwork is quality, well worth it, IMHO.

Hopefully those FD guys will follow up on their promises and have my absolutely awesome product idea prepped for next GenCon.

While I cannot reveal the secret, I must say it is an incredible idea (yes, its my idea, but still, ya gotta believe me! It's awesome! Wait til you see it!)

I'm counting on you for this one James. Don't let me down!

PS

Cromlok forget plan!

Huh? Plan too long! Me forget details. ;)

Don't worry, Stormy, plans are already underway!

FANE!

Feiry Dragons Press, sorry

Hey guys. I bought the Arcana Unearthed book from you in the last 10 min of the con. I saw the Creature Collection tabs and had no idea what they were. Now that I realize what they were i'm sorry for not buying them and kicking myself in the arse!

I WANT!
