The kicker?
This is the first I have seen it in color!!!
We had a black and white tiny TV for some years after the big color cabinet went out!
It was like winning the lottery when dad took us across town to buy a color tv. To boot, he also spring for cable and I watched Star Wars over over and over!
Here I sit with two 4K big TVs and the wonder does not compare to the Atari days…
Man, that reminds me - we had one of those old 70 lb. B&W TVs with a phonograph built into the top and huge vacuum tubes in it. I remember we went to Magnavox to get a new color TV. California Lottery had just started and we got 100 tickets to go with the TV (and rented Star Wars to boot from the Magnavox Video Club....). We scratched off all the tickets ... and won $10. Oh well, Star Wars was good, though! The kicker?

The first mass market one, anyway. I read some deep lore a couple of years ago about early computer adaptations, which folks apparently started coding on college mainframe systems almost as soon as D&D existed.Atari's Adventure - the first D&D video game...
