Fighter or Barbarian?

Which is the better class for a standard D&D campaign?

I'm fond of fighter/barbarian multiclassing (ONE level of barbarian, what are you guys thinking. Take at least two so you can get Uncanny Dodge) myself but if I had to pick one, I'd chose fighter. Fighters get enough feats to really differentiate themselves from one another and to make each round of combat interesting and different if they want to. Barbarians aren't exactly one trick ponies but they lack the options of a fighter.
