Manyshot is a 3E general feat in the Epic Level Handbook. It's certainly an option without taking 3.5 changes into consideration yet.

Interesting. To be honest, I threw that one in because I've read it discussed on other threads--not being an avid follower of 3.5e myself. It does make me want to break out the Epic Level Handbook and give it another once-through, though.

fighter since many encounters occur at close range per the rules of encounters in the DMG. and the fighter is better close up as compared to an archer style ranger.
