Fighter or Samurai?

80 XP for a +1 enhancement. In other words, basically free. Cuz unlike my variant, the Rokugan book didn't require any monetary sacrifice. A +2 weapon required 320 XP spent, in total (at 6th-level I think?). The total XP needed for a +10 daisho weapon at upper levels was 8,000 XP (so, essentially, by the time you reached 18th-level or so, you would be half a level behind in XP, at most). My variant lowered the XP cost a bit from the Rokugan variant, but I also added part of the original OA cost in monetary sacrifice, just reduced to make for a better compromise.

Speaking of ancestral daisho, where was an XP version of the chart to upgrade them?

It's in Rokugan d20. If I recall correctly, the XP values you have to sacrifice equal those you'd have to spend if you created that weapon with the usual item creation rules (i.e 1/25 of the market price).

One way you could go to simulate the ancestral daisho is to use the Weapons of Legend method.

Essentially, the weapon is already enchanted, but you must use feats in order to unlock the weapon's potential.
