Fighter with high charisma?

Here's an interesting trick: Take the Goad feat from Races of Stone/Complete Adventurer. It requires BAB +1 and Cha 13. You can take a move action to force an enemy to make a Cha-based Will save or not be able to make melee attacks against anyone but you on its turn. Use it, then ready an action to attack it if it comes near you. If you use a reach weapon, you'll get an AoO, too; if you have the Stand Still feat from the XPH, you can try to stop it in its tracks, too. Only works against melee-focused enemies, of course, but they tend to have bad Will saves, anyways.

The Kiai Shout feats from Complete Warrior look like fun.

If you have access to a copy, check out the Pirate's Charge feat from Five Fingers: Port of Deceit. It requires Cha 13, and lets you make an Intimidate check to demoralize as a free action when you charge someone. Good stuff.

In that case, why not create the character as mechanically a fallen paladin? When she redeems herself, she regains access to the paladin abilities and the Cha becomes very helpful.
Shilsen wins the thread.

That sounds like it'd also combine well with a spiked chain / Improved Trip combo.

Dipping into Sorcerer can open up the opportunities for some fun draconic feats from Races of the Dragon and Dragon Magic. The hitch is that most of them require the Draconic Heritage feat which has to be taken as a 1st level Sorcerer. Something that may work for a character seeking redemption is evil draconic heritage that they're trying to escape, or perhaps good draconic heritage that has given them pangs of conscience and guilt over their evil actions.
There are some really cool feats that chain off of Draconic Heritage, such as claws, breath weapon usage, and even one called Draconfire Assault which lets you add an energy descriptor to the extra damage you do with Power Attack.
The powergamers may wince, but there's a lot of roleplaying flavor in the Draconic feats.

And if you wanted, you could use the Battle Sorceror variant from UA. A level or four of that wouldn't hurt your BAB or HP very much (-1 and -~4, respectively), and the spells might be fun.

If the PC is LE, a level or two of knight or hexblade would work well. Both have good will saves to shore up a fighter's biggest weakness and have abilities that work off of charisma. Feats such as daunting presence, frightful presense, and intimidating strike would work well for this PC.
