Filling the Melee Hole

So my party has a problem. We are a rouge, wizard and druid
See the problem yet?

The melee role is empty and if we are going to survive we need it filled. I am the druid and have "volunteered" for the role. My thoughts are to go with the wolf shaman archtype. This will give me standard action summoning for wolves, and as wolves main stick is tripping (picking up a scythe and will be attempting to trip as well), will benefit the rouge as he sits back till one baddie is surrounded or on the ground and going stabby stabby stab. I am also falling into the heal bot role (is investing in a staff of healing and a wand or 2 of cure serious)

Is there anything more I can do to try and cover the melee hole? We are level 10 and have access to APG and the core book and maybe some other stuff, DM approval needed.

Hrm. Tricky...

Stat for a melee build and take advantage of wild shape? It'll hurt your spellcasting, but if you're going to tank, you'll need it.

Found out we found a fourth player and they are going Barbarian so I dont need to run a healing tank. I am still gonna do some stats for tripping (currently have a +13 (+17 with aspect of the wolf spell up)) and refocus on spell casting

So I guess I am changing the question to "Am I missing a major spell from the Druid list?"

26 Wis and level 10, spells are looking like this:

0 4
Create Water
Light
Resistance
Stabilize

1 4+2
Cure Light x3
Entangle x3

2 4+2
Barkskin x2
Bear's Endurance x4

3 3+2
Call Lightning x2
Cure Moderate x2
Hide Campsite x1

4 3+2
Ball Lightning x2
Cure Serious x2
Grove of Respite x1

5 2+1
Cure Critical x1
Aspect of the Wolf x2

I am the only healer, thus the large number of healing spells. Will also be carrying goodberries and a staff of healing and 1-2 wands of cure moderate or serious (depends on how much party will donate to their healer) (has natural spell so will be casting in wild shape)

feedback is helpful, thanks

Is 3.5 material allowed? Is your PC good?

In complete Divine, the spontaneous healer (IIRC the name) feat allow to good PCs spontaneously convert cure spells like clerics do, if these spells are in the spell list.

Can one of you run two characters? Would the DM allow it?

If not then I would go with a wildshaped focused druid who is also summon based. You should be able to handle most physical encounters.

Kaiyanwang: good idea but the dm says no. I will be asking her again every time I get a feat though so we will see

concerro: She doesn't want anyone too though further adventures may require us too. If she does, I am pulling out a summoner and that should satisfy any problems with any melee holes

Combat is looking like this
Round 1: Rouge disappears (vanish), Wizard blasts away, I cast bear's endurance, barkskin, aspect of the wolf depending on the situation, my wolf and barbarian run screaming into battle

Round 2: Rouge sneak attacks for 4 attacks each around 8-9d6, wizard blasts again, I move up, swift action trip attempt(AotW) and then slice or Summon wolves, My wolf, and summoned wolves and barbarian scream and kill

Round 3: Rouge sneak attacks with a flank, Wizard finally casts a buff, I swift trip or move up and swing and summons, pet, barbarian keep screaming and killing

After combat I go around with goodberries and heal spells

Knowing the rouge has vanish and thus will be able to maneuver first round into a good sneak means I wont have to worry about wolf placement round 1, I can cast a self buff to keep me alive a round
