I know we don't have the rules yet, but I'm too impatient to wait, and want to get started helping my players find miniatures for their first level basic D&D characters we'll use when the Starter Box comes out. One player already settled on an elf rogue with a bow, and even found the miniature for the character, Reaper's Alistrilee, Elf Archer (http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/03166).
Another player will play a human cleric, but was wondering if a mace is the default weapon for basic clerics in the game.
Another player wants a dwarf fighter with an axe, but is wondering what the pros and cons are for weilding an axe and shield versus a two handed axe.
And the last player will play a wizard but was wondering if wizards in the basic game use implements, to see if his mini should have wand, staff, orb or other implement.
If things don't change much from the latest playtest packet, other than get boiled down to the most basic subclass for each of the basic classes, what is you guess would be the default weapon for a human cleric, and for a dwarf fighter, and what if anything would a wizard most often hold in his hand while adventuring in the Basic game?
