Except of course for when
Jayne's momma sends him a tuke.
Unless this is an indication on Jayne´s "true" (intended) future... :)

Kicking Mr.Threat into the jet-intake doesn´t seem particular bad.
He gave im a fair chance - if we part in peace, all is fine. What did he expect? That, when you are at mercy of a man that is willing to let it (and you) go (especially when no real harm is done, Mal didn´t take the money), you insult or threaten him? Is that a sensible action? Or isn´t this man a bit to evil for his own good?

Of course,
Jayne is a bit more of a bad guy then most of the characters. I'll have to go back and see, but does he wear a Hat in Ariel, by any chance?

I always thought this was sort of a back handed indication that Jayne may not absolutely be one of the good guys. You can tell out of the gate in the pilot he's a crude mean natured duplicitous sort of guy.

I like Jayne... I've had a character I really enjoyed (long before I've seen Firefly) that he strongly reminds me of. Managed to get our kind-hearted DM to splutter helplessly quite a few times. Ah, that was a fun game. :D

You know what,
I think he does -- as part of his paramedic disguise. Oh, that would be too perfect if he did.
I'll have to go check the DVD.
