First look at the PHB 3.5

My bundle of 3.5 books arrived yesterday and I've had little time to do anything but flick through them.

I've mainly focused on the PHB and my only observation so far is that the modified classes seem to be going for one "special ability" per level. I'm particularly thinking of the barbarian, druid, monk, etc.

While this may be no bad thing it does superficially make a class like the Fighter look a little bland.
