First Look Teaser | Star Trek: Starfleet Academy

So it will be some sort of Mad Max 90210? Wow what a concept.

Bad enough it will be "an academy" so it will be CW teen drama taken up to 11......but worse with all the propaganda.

Guess we will get show after show about how One Viewpoint is Bad, but the Federation Hollywood Viewpoint is perfect.

And a mix of characters.....a female klingon/jem[hadar? Um...ok.

And...er....The Wall? Is it just a random list of names? Is it just graduates? People that died in the line of duty? Heroes?

And whoever made the wall...er...might have never watched Star Trek. The wall has Tasha Yar on it....what did she ever do famous?

Captain Demora Sulu? Ok, so she never made it to Admiral

Commander Samantha Wildman?!? she joined Starfleet...and only became a commander?

LTJR Wesley Crusher?!? Um...he never joined Starfleet and assented to a higher plane of existence. Or did Jack Crusher(the Picard's son one) have a boy and name them Wesley?

Lt Nog? He never made it to Captain or Admiral? And Disco named a ship after him?

Lt Tom Paris?!? So guess he left Starfleet and never advanced in rank?

Lt commander Hoshi Sotto ?!? Guess she never get any more rank?

Commander Data? So poor Data did not get to be a Captain or higher?

Lt commander Jullian Bashar ?!? He never made it to captain or admiral?

Admrial "ensign forever" Harry Kim .......hahahahahahah. Feels like how Chewy got that dumb medal decades later.

The vast majority of officers never do.
Commander Samantha Wildman?!? she joined Starfleet...and only became a commander?
Maybe she died. Who knows why it happened.
LTJR Wesley Crusher?!? Um...he never joined Starfleet and assented to a higher plane of existence. Or did Jack Crusher(the Picard's son one) have a boy and name them Wesley?
Yes he did join Starfleet. And he didn't have to assent to that higher plane of existence for it to be there.
Lt Nog? He never made it to Captain or Admiral? And Disco named a ship after him?
Perhaps he sacrificed himself in the line of duty and saved a ton of people. You don't have to be high ranking to make enough of a difference.
Lt Tom Paris?!? So guess he left Starfleet and never advanced in rank?
Maybe.
Lt commander Hoshi Sotto ?!? Guess she never get any more rank?
Maybe.
Commander Data? So poor Data did not get to be a Captain or higher?
He died. He came back later, kinda sorta, but not in Starfleet.
Lt commander Jullian Bashar ?!? He never made it to captain or admiral?
Apparently not.
Admrial "ensign forever" Harry Kim .......hahahahahahah. Feels like how Chewy got that dumb medal decades later.
Or else he did well!

You have this preoccupation for rank when most people never get to the top. I have a friend who was in the Army for 36 years and retired a Lt. Colonel. Not everyone gets to Admiral, Captain of a ship, General, etc.

He did?!? Gee there is a whole episode about him literately not joining Starfleet and finding his own path. So after that he re-re applied to the Academy....for like the 6th time, graduated and joined Starfleet. When did all that happen?

Would make more sense for Dr. Crusher to have a third son by that Irish Candle Ghost and named him Wesley too.....oh, and cool, as a ghost he can haunt Starfleet Academy and be in the new show!

There are a number of US Naval Vessels that are named for non-officers. One is named for a lowly Seaman First Class who won the Medal of Honor, due to his actions at The Battle of Pearl Harbor, in which he died.

Sacrificed herself to maintain the integrity of the timeline, actually. See the Next Gen episode "Yesterday's Enterprise" for more deails.

Captain Demora Sulu? Ok, so she never made it to Admiral

You realize most Captains can't become admirals, right? You need one Captain per ship, but you don't need all that many admirals.

LTJR Wesley Crusher?!? Um...he never joined Starfleet and assented to a higher plane of existence.

Incorrect. We learn in the movie Star Trek: Nemesis that he returned, graduated from the academy and served on the Titan before finally retiring to be a Traveller himself..

Commander Data? So poor Data did not get to be a Captain or higher?

No. He DIED in Star Trek: Nemesis.

Lt commander Jullian Bashar ?!? He never made it to captain or admiral?

Hey, they let him stay in Starfleet despite his genetic modification, and that's at least one promotion after we see him in DS9. Maybe he didn't want to push his luck.

I think the main problem with the wall is that somehow for an galactic federation over eight hundred years old it has space for all of your faves from one measly sixty year period.

Is there a Directors Cut of the movie or something with this in it?
No. He DIED in Star Trek: Nemesis.
But he came back in Picard........
