While I enjoyed LotR:FotR, the writer of the article does state all five points in a very valid manner. Next time I watch the movie, I'll keep his points in mind.



[Personal Opinion: I think if you read the five reasons and didn't at least smirk a little, you fall into a category I like to call "True Fantasy/Sci-Fi Geek". When in this category your sense of humor is different than contemporary youngsters. Not bad mind you, just different and a territory all its own.]

Maybe I just consider satire to be the pathetic choice of a lousy artist who can do no better than try to make humor with really poor cheapshots.

Two observations:

1) I don't think you understand what satire is.
2) The "top 5" list doesn't qualify as satire.

most of it was kind of lame. #5 was kind of funny......."the land of golden shower"? discover the power of his staff? juvenile, yes. but i chortled when i read them.
