OK, following the OP rules this time:

The D&D rules help you and the other players have a good time, but the rules aren’t in charge. You’re the DM, and you are in charge of the game. That said, your goal isn’t to slaughter the adventurers but to create a campaign world that revolves around their actions and decisions, knowing what things interest your players and incorporating those to keep them invested, and to keep your players coming back for more! If you’re lucky, the events of your campaign will echo in the memories of your players long after the final game session is concluded.

You can change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of wizard spells requires time spent studying your spellbook and memorizing the incantations and gestures you must make to cast the spell: at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell on your list.

Sorcerer. Metamagic.

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to twist your spells to suit your needs. You gain access to all Metamagic options; additionally pick two Metamagic options from the list, the sorcery point cost for those are reduced by 1. You gain another one at 10th and 17th level.

Doesn't that seem a little fast? That means a low level wizard can recover their spells in minutes and a 20th level wizard can recover their entire spell load in about 1.5 hours. That's a pretty large power upgrade!
