D&D 5E Fizban Is In The Wild -- With the Table of Contents!

Some people have received their copies of Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, and have posted photos (including the table of contents!) online!

Having the progenitors be real, even if nobody in world knows it, sets a standard, and answer one of the biggest questions of the setting (Are gods real?), and every single table that answers that question with "no" will be deviating form canon (a lot of people don't care about that, I know, but a lot do). To do that in a book that isn't focused on Eberron, and doesn't have the care and intent of tailoring sotries to Eberron, would be a big mistake IMHO.
I completely get you, even if I'm not an Eberron fan.

This possibly maybe the one time I buy a second copy of a DND book. While I managed to get Fizban's Treasury of Dragon's alt cover on pre-ordered, its alongside another pre order in the same order, meaning I'll be getting it a whole two months after Fizban's release. And while I did mention before that I guess an extra bit of waiting wouldn't bother me, reading this table of contents did not help out at all.

I do owe my best friend a wedding gift and he is a huge DND fan. So I could always get the standard cover, read it all over, then give my best friend the standard copy as part of his wedding gift when the alt cover finally arrives with Strixhaven.

Except Tiamat has a canon place in Eberron, as the Ovelord Daughter of Khyber.
Technically not "canon" anymore, as any Eberron lore that isn't in Eberron: Rising from the Last War is not officially canon anymore.

(And @Parmandur's idea about having the Daughter of Khyber just be an avatar of Khyber could work, but that might get a bit tricky, as then she would be the Avatar of Khyber, who would be an Avatar/Aspect of Cosmic Tiamat.)

The Dragon Gods of Eberron aren't canon anymore, and WotC is leaning a ton into the D&D Multiverse idea, both Siberys and Sardior are shattered and both Tiamat and Khyber are trapped. I'm just saying that if WotC wanted to connect Eberron's Creation Myth to the lore of the First World and D&D Multiverse, this is the perfect opportunity to do so, especially because they recently de-canonized all contradictory material from Eberron.
