Fizzy Pop

Tinker Gnome

Adventurer
This idea came to me while i was drinking a soad and browsing this forum. It is not world-specific. Just something i came up with. First here are the stas for the Gremlin race. I will see if if an add more later.

Gremlin
+2 Int -2 Wis
Gain a racial modifier of +2 on all Knowledge(Engineering) checks
Alignment: Usually Chaotic Neutral

Gremlins are a race of Tinkers. Many gremlins choose the path of being a Tinkerer. Although there are a few who choose other paths as well.

The inventing of Fizzy Pop

The now famous Fizzy Pop was invented when a Goblin Tinker was trying to come up with a more efficient fuel source for his Gyrocopter. He ended up with a strange fizzzy substance which did nothing for his Gyrocopter. Although he decided to experiment with it further. he was going to use a chemical to see how the substance would react to it. However his children, despite how many time he told them no to mess around in his workshop. Had switched the chemical with a cherry flavoring. He put the flavoring in, and when the substance merely turned red, he did not think the chemical had had any effect.

However, he soon could smell the cherry flavoring in the substance. He then realized he had put cherry flavoring in instead of the chemical. He sighed, and decided to call it a day. He put the substance away, and vowed he would make some more in the morning, without cherry flavoring in it. The next morning he was very tired, and when he reached into his storing space, he grabbed the fizzy substance, and took a sip, he did not even realize what he had drank until he felt the fizz on his tongue. He panicked at first, thinking it would burn off his tongue. He soon realized however that his tongue was still intact. And that the substance actually tasted quite good. He took a big swig this time, and when his insides did not burn away. He realized that he had invented a new drink.

He began making more and more, and sold it to traders. Soon Fizzy Pop became know throughout the land. It was loved by both adults and children of all races.

He began making more and more, and sold it to traders. Soon Fizzy Pop became know throughout the land. Both adults and children of all races loved it. An Elven Queen even liked it so much, that she bestowed an award that usually only Elves could receive. Today, it is not uncommon to see a burly Half-Orc come into a tavern and order a mug of Grape flavored fizzy pop.

So, what do you guys think? I just made this up off the top of my head. Please let me know. :)

As ofr the Tinker class, from what i hear the Tinker class in the Warcraft D20 book is good. :)

Umm...okay...well, the fizzy pop thing is...certainly... different . Yeah, thats a good word. But what's the point? I'd like to see your gremlins, so if you still want this thread over in General, would you start a new one here? Also, it's probably poor form to accuse a mod of personal bias.

Well, first of all, i was not accusing a mod. I really need to put more smilies in my posts. :)

And it doesnt really have a point, just some of my random ideas.

I will put the Gremlin stas back up. :)

Not bad, but I think you need at least one more bit of bad luck to make it really feel Tinkerish. :p

Fizzy Pop brings a smile to my face because one of the character templates in the back of the original West End Games version of Star Wars was The Kid and his equipment list included, "a bottle of fizzy pop". :D
