Flag a post for deletion

Is it ok to use the Report Button to ask the mods to delete a specific post?
Seems the easiest way, even though it might not be the primary purpose of that button.

Or should this always done via E-Mail?

Your own post? I think the easiest way is to just edit out the text. I would guess the report button is the only way to be sure a mod sees it otherwise.

The "Report a Post" function is the best way to make sure some moderator sees the request in a timely manner. If you put it in e-mail, the mod you send it to will see it eventually, when he or she checks e-mail. If you report the post we *all* get the notice, instead of the individuals you send the e-mail to.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking. The Report function certainly seems most useful for this, even though it's more meant to report spam and such not "accidents".
