Flaming Fist

Transmutation (Fire)

Level: Sor/Wiz 4

Components: V, S

Range: Touch

Target: One Creature

Duration: 1 round/level

Saving Throw: None

Spell Resistance: Yes

You cover your targets hands in fire. The target of this spell takes 1 point of damage/caster level (maximum 5 points of damage per round this spell is in effect). The next time the target hits someone in combat with an Unarmed Strike they deal an extra amount of fire damage equal to 1d4/2 levels (Max 5d4 points of fire damage) for each hit. This dose not expend the spell when the target hits, its target.

If the target of this spell is under the effect of the spell Immolation the bonus fire damage is 1d4 points of fire damage per caster level (Max 10d4).

You should specify that the damage to the target of the spell is fire damage.

(Grammer note, ignore if you're so inclined: "equal to," not "equal two.")

I'd be inclined to make it short range and give a save to negate instead of making it touch and saveless. (Target can always waive the save, if they want it).

It seems like it might be a touch on the powerful side. Combine it with Endure Elements (Fire) or other fire resistance, and your monk or Druid gets +5d4 damage per attack. I'd tend to think that that's beyond the level of other buff spells, even with the disad.

the damage to the target in arcan damage not fire damage (or just damage not fire damage).

Do you think I should make it 1d4 (+1 percaster level max +10) With Immolation 1d6 (+1 percaster level max +20). Would that work better.
