Flash Gordon after 19 episodes, Good or Not?

A lot of folks where sceptical or disappointed after the first few episodes of Flash Gordon. What's your opinion of the series after 19 episodes?

A lot of complaints were of Flash jumping between Earth and Mongo a lot, this seems to be a lot less (episode 19 was spent entirely on Mongo by Flash). Ming being a wimp, a few mass murders later (bombing of the Deviant city and the poisoning of water), Ming is now trying to kill his own son again, and almost threw his own daughter from a tower.

I couldn't stomach it after a few episodes, but I haven't seen anything recently to answer a poll. I did see that TV Guide seems to have changed its opinion of the show to positive, whatever that's worth.

I just watched the last episode. It is better than the beginning but grading on a scale it has moved from F- to D. Yes it is an improvement but then by episode 4 or 5 there really was nowhere to go but up. The hawkman episode is truely among the worst episodes of any series to ever be filmed. Overall it still has wooden acting, no chemistry between the leads, and scripts that are atrocious in their ideas, pacing, and character consistency. At least now they look like they might be spending a couple of thousand per episode on sets and effects instead of a couple hundred.

Tried to watch it when it started, and felt sick to my stomach at what I was seeing.

Tried again recently, to see if maybe things got better... they didn't.

So I guess for me it's come down to "don't watch it/don't care."

The last few episodes have been better but it is still bad. For some reason I voted neutral. I guess because I liked the last ep with the sand(ice) worm and the thumper and the frozen queen and the skull faced prophecy guy. It is kinda like a DnD game, not planetary romance.

Oh yeah. There was going to be a new Flash Gordon series. 19 episodes huh? Obviously burning up MY radar ain't it? Guess I don't feel I've missed anything.
