FLGS in Charlotte NC Area?

I'm visiting friends who live in SC, JUST outside Charlotte, and want to browse D&D and d20 materials. My friends here don't really know of a great place to do so. I'm sure the awesome community here at EnWorld can help us!

Where is the gaming hotspot store of Charlotte? The big store that's got everything, got a great crew, place to play, etc, etc. The trademark FLGS.

If there is not one, then heck, some advice to find some good d20 adventures, maybe like some of the Dungeon Crawl Classics or something. Want to play something before I go home to Chicago dontcha know!

My advice: STAY HERE! NC or SC would be a step up, law-wise.

Anyway, in Charlotte theres Heroes aren't Hard to Find (central city), Underground Games (N/NW) and...Skirmishes, which I can't remember. Also, WarZone is in Carolina Place mall, and one other location, IIRC. I don't go to them at all, really.

Dude, check the Yellow Pages and let your fingers do the walking...

The problem with browsing the yellow pages is finding the right one.

I hate to drive out to check a place out and find myself in the place with the worst selection in town.

I know, I can call them. It's largely less hassle to just suggest what I'm looking for here and see what people have for favorites. I can't get much of a sense for which stores people like calling them over the phone.

Thank you for the advice though!

heh, as for staying here, naturally it comes up. I'm curious what laws you are referring to, but ultimately I am aware of pretty much all the important differences between IL (and I grew up in MN with all my family still there) and the Carolinas and there are a lot of positives. It's a complex decision though.

I could just be flip and say that I got involved in MN and did my part in helping turn it into a battleground state this year and now I'm working on IL. I guess that doesn't sound very flip.

Anyway, thanks again!
