Fling ability used on characters with Fly

I occasionally use the Fling ability (I found the feat, but don't recall where) that allows a creature to throw a person with a succesful attack roll and reflex save.

A few times when using the Fling ability the person/character being hit had a fly spell on. I'm curious if you would rule that the character wouldn't be thrown as far or would they be thrown the same distance as someone on foot.

Don't know if there's an official rule on it. I would rule that the character with the fly spell would still be flung the total distance (if he hits a tree partway through, he'll be hurting). However, once that total distance is reached, they would be able to regain their 'balance' and resume normal flight movement (on his turn, of course).

Just an off-the-cuff ruling, though. But it sounds good to me.

I'd probably only allow them to resist the flinging if they'd readied an action to do so, or possibly if the creature were trying to fling them against the direction they were already flying on their turn.

I might give the flingee a Ref save to 'catch' himself before impacting any objects, or to stop himself at half the distance.

Actually, I remember seeing this somewhere as well, but I can't remember where. Anybody know?

EDIT: Nevermind. It's a function of Snatch.

I can see the Reflex to avoid damage, but still going the distance since they obviously missed the Reflex save when they got hit.

Next time it occurs I think I'll use that suggestion. Thanks.
