Fluid site up, E-Tools Screenshots available

i like the random generator tables, reminds me of table smith and RPM. The output sheets look good and the statblocks are nice. The GUI looks ok but I like PCGen's better sans all the fluffy colors :D .

The colors actually have some funtionality -- you can tell what "part" of the program (race generator, character generator, house rules generator, etc.) you're in by what the color scheme is.

The screenshots look pretty good, as well as the HTML character sheets. (Is it safe to assume the character sheet layout are based on 8.5x11 with 1-inch margins on all sides?) Will they include a user-friendly sheet editor? I'm not well-versed in XML.

Somehow, it is missing something. No, I'm not talking about the rest of the features that everyone wants but is not included in eTools. I'm talking about appearance. It's so bland, so neutral. Is there a way for user to customize the appearance of the screen: changing background color, use different fonts for headings, title bars, and whatnot? How about using different skins depending on theme like Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Kingdom of Kalamar, etc.?

I think the margins are smaller than 1" on the char sheet printout.

No char sheet editor. I would imagine that we'll be seeing some fan-produced variants though, and those can be dumped right into a directory in E-Tools so they're available when you go to print or print preview.

It is a bit utilitarian looking. And that's what many many people complained about in the original Char Gen (too frilly, too many non-standard Windows navigation methods, etc.).

They're in there, some of them were a little buggy during the beta but I'd imagine that's all fixed now. And of course anything that's conditional (i.e. you get a bonus if and only if you're doing this one specific thing) won't be added, you'll need to take care of that yourself as you would normally.
