Flying Paladin Problem

Well, here's the situation. I made a Half-Celestial Paladin and I was wondering what to do once he got up to 5th level. He has Wings and can fly at speed 60 with Good maneuverability. It just doesn't seem to make sense that he get a horse when he is so mobile himself. I was looking for some feedback on what others would do in this situation.

Try to get your DM to allow you to have some other type of animal instead of a horse, and have a 'celestial companion', similar to the Blackguard's fiendish companion.
