Folks, we're deeply bothered by this. D&D is serious business. Making light of it like this just drags down the entire hobby. It's embarrassing, annoying and inappropriate. I think we're going to have to ask people to scale back on "humor".

For shame, WotC. For shame.

Not to derail this with an overly serious comment, but I think they did a really good job making the gnome interesting, something you can fight, and something you can't actually kill. Because it would kind of suck if the players murdered the gnome.

If you're playing a Witchalok you can kill him every turn at will

Also, Francis is adorable, I love the concept of the minion that just doesn't die (I think it could actually make a credible mechanic for some undead).
Castlevania's Blood/Red Skeletons FTW :)

And my mother was right all along: eating carrots does improve your eyesight! It says so in D&D:

Among the root vegetables is an enormous golden carrot (DC 15 Perception to locate while searching). It acts as
everlasting provisions (Player’s Handbook, page 254), and it gives each one who eats of it a +2 bonus to the first attack roll of each day due to mystically improved eyesight (level 5 magic item; 1,000 gp).

The Carbuncle rocks! It almost seems like it came out of a Monty Python sketch!

Man, I love this Delve!

Man 1: Since I woke up this morning, I've been seeing spots!
Man 2: Have you seen a doctor?
Man 1: No, just spots.
