For dm´s (items)

Have you ever gave your pc´s some really good item like shadow staff, or
sword of kas, or some other very powerful item?

If you have, what level was your pc?
And what kind of adventure?

I've seen a PC IMC with the original (1e shortsword) Sword of Kas - a quasi-deity, probably around 25th level or so. This was a while ago.

The adventre I remember that involved it was the CN/E quasi-deity PC Sunneson, servant of Tuoni, and rival LG demigod PC Thrin, seeking the (sword-dominated) merman who had the Sword of Kas through a wormhole into cyberpunk 21st century New York, battling street gangs and the Arasaka Corporation. This was a sequel to the Sword's previous appearance, where someone had tried to get rid of it by throwing it in the sea - hence the merman.

Sure, I've given out artifacts to all different levels.

I remember this one time (in 1e? Maybe 2e) when a 1st-level magic-user was given a staff of the magi.

Most recently, in my nigh-epic game, the group took possession of an artifact called the Deleter. They recently got rid of it after the drawbacks got to be too heavy for hte character to take...
