For Dummies RPG books?

I have the D&D for Dummies book and I know that GURPS for Dummies and DMing for Dummies are due out next year. But what other RPG-related 'for Dummies' books are there or will there be?

I don't know if there is one, but "LARPing for Dummies" is a good candidate.

Copies of the GURPS and DMing?

I thought you mentioned that you'd already bought copies for your other members of the standard book.

And do you find the Idio'ts Guides more useful than the old Dummies guide or ?

the DMing one. most of the guys are DMs in one form or another.

i think it is in the style. i'm not a big Dummies fan. i have used them. but i prefer the complete guides.

I've used both for different subject matter. (Business Writing, C++, HTML, etc...) They're like everything else in that you have to actively use what they talk about to have some retention of it. I can barely remember any of the HTLM stuff for example.

My problem with the Dummies guides is that they add too much 'fluff'. I get impatient sometimes reading them, because it frequently seems that they could convey the same information in half the text. But the information they do provide is good, so I have to admit that I have a number of Dummies guides on my bookshelf. Not sure I need one for D&D, but it would be interesting to see how the information is presented.

Now if Peachpit would do a Visual Guide to D&D, that would be interesting to see. Probably not useful, but interesting!
