Now that sounds interesting![/URL].

I'm using a class from Midnight (Wildlander, for some mountain bandits), a creature from Chaositech (the Vreeth, in this case appearing in tattered yellow robes) and a spell from CoC (Unspeakable Oath...which will be offered to one of the vict...er...PCs). I'd tell you to look to my story hour, but I'm rather behind a
at the moment...

How are those tact-tiles working out for you? I've got a battlemat, but they look pretty snazzy (if pricy). What kind of material are they made from?

I use the three core books and the Psionics Handbook every session. I keep Mindscapes handy but don't usually need to refer to it in game. Last session I also used Dungeon# 90 (currently running "Tears for Twilight Hollow", Necromancer's Grey Citadel (for a returning villian who survived when I ran that), and Relics & Rituals to look up a spell or two. A few characters use feats from other books but we have all the relevant info on character sheets so I don't usually need to use them during game.

Also, the core books mentioned above are 3.5, but some of my players still have (and use) 3.0 PHBs, and I still use the 3.0 DMG for NPC stats on the fly.

Edit: I see some folks talking about non-book items above. I'm finally down to one DM Screen (the new WotC 3.5 version), plus we use minis (mostly Reaper for characters, D&D minis for most monsters) as well as Dwarven Forge's Master Mazes (I used the Room & Passage set last session, but sometimes use the Cavern set as well).

What books do I use... I thought I spelled that out. ;)

Actually, I try to update that every week. Why... it's sort of a thought experiment. I buy more than I use, so keeping in mind what I actually use is sort of a reality check. At the same time, it is sort of a poster for those who don't beleive in "all this junk" that it does get used.

My little sig list doesn't include things like PCGen and NPCGen, which I use lots. Or ENWorld, which I use lots. ;)

To prep for next session:

Arcana Unearthed

Diamond Throne

Legacy of the Dragons

Theives Quarter PDF from The Game Mechanics (using yummy maps by Christopher West)

Dungeon Magazine (using more maps of mystery by Christopher West)

e-Tools (all NPC and monster prep)

my own AU spell spreadsheet and other spreadsheets

Fiend Folio (still my favorite monster book)

DMG 3.5 Web Enhancement to design sections of a large town -- this turned out to be super helpful

Campaign Cartographer for drawing my town

Very nice! I'd never go back to a battlemat. They're made of some very hard plastic, very sturdy, and they're about 1/8" thick. The dry erase makes all the difference and the fact that they are modular makes "dungeon crawls" so much easier to map.

Easily the best money I've ever spent on a role-playing aid.

Used Last Session:
* Core 3
* Book of Vile Darkness (have a PC who's an evil cleric)
* Oathbound Campaign setting (Evil cleric is also a Haze)
* Monster Manual II
* Final Fantasy d20
* Homebrew Stuff.

That's the end!

Folks, this is a nice product. I think I can pretty much drop it right into my campaign without much re-fitting.

As long as we are talking about yummy map products:

You'll see in my map listings I frequently list the Darkfuries ESDs. I never really realized how much I used them until I started this little "what really gets used" thing. I am amazed at how nice being able to pull up a (well detailed) castle, manor, or keep is.

Hmm. Let's see... last session was yesterday, so this should be reasonably fresh:
3.5e SRD (formatted, printed out and split into Rule Book, Spell Book, and Item Book)
3.0 DMG (for XP)
Oathbound campaign setting (I just transferred the campaign over to Oathbound, and am currently running the adventure/campaign in the back)
Psionics Handbook (two of the PCs got psionics as arrival gifts, and one of those got interested in psionic tatoos)

I think that's it. I also kept Minions: Rebirth, Arms & Armor, Arms & Equipment Guide, Mindscapes, and Book of Eldritch Might I and II on hand, but didn't actually use them.
