For those who like city books

Buy Streets of Silver, it is a really good book on a good city that is detailed enough with enough tidbits to keep a campaign going for a long time. Double the size of Bluffside and you get the idea of the amount of material in this book, all the same quality as Bluffside also.

Good book.

*just got it in the mail. I am very happy now. :D

Glad to see that Bluffside has become the defacto standard for city books. "Bluffside, the city book by which others are measured. " heh
:D

It does sound pretty cool, though.

About a half-year ago I remember seeing a bunch of ads for a City book that was HUGE. Supposedly it was 120+ pages (maybe twice that) and had amazing, amazing amounts of detail.

Does anyone remember the title, or have any opinions?

Are you thinking of Windhaven? http://www.affinitygames.com/windhaven.php
Things are kind of quiet on the site, but they did post over here a few weeks ago that they are still alive and kicking, and the book should be out soon.

Over 300 pages?! I'm assuming at that price it's softcover. Also, is it suitable for any setting?

You are indeed correct. The book is 312 pages, softcover, with a 17" x 22" pull-out color map of the city.

While it was designed for use with Twin Crowns, there is information about converting the city to your campaign in the introduction. Also, considering the vast amounts of information in this book, it would be hard not to find a use for it if you enjoy city books.

Hundreds of shops, locales, and landmarks. Hundreds of NPC's. Dozens of plotlines, some connected to a specific NPC or location, others that span the whole city.

Mmmmm canals...

Looks nice wish the PDF has some more pages in it. Will have to check it out when it hits my area. Can't have enough city books. :)

It will be mine at GTS---It looks great and if it is like Bluffside but bigger, well how could I complain! This is a book long time in the making so it should be real good, I love city books and with this huge bad boy, our city supplements for Bluffside and all the goodies for Freeport, it looks like water based cities are the big thing.....mmmmm must make a city with NO water around it :D .
