For Us It Was a Tuesday

OOC: Thanks, Shayuri. And, yes, [MENTION=95059]Forged Fury[/MENTION] built Thistle to pack a whollop. He did a phenomenal job. I think she delivers.18d6: 74 [18d6=4, 2, 3, 5, 3, 5, 5, 4, 6, 1, 3, 5, 4, 6, 4, 5, 4, 5] 8 successes.

[section]Thistle raised her cyberarm, aimed, and pulled the trigger. She packed ADPS ammunition, so she hoped the remaining drone was in range. If it was, she felt confident she'd score a hit and hopefully disintegrate the thing.[/section]

Thistle's bullets riddle the armor plating of the second drone. The defenses of this one also fail to hold up and it shivers before collapsing near the first. The noise of your combat echoes through the hallways of the building, however, and you soon hear inhuman howls and moans from the rest of the building.

Echo does some work on the video files she downloaded and has a dismal report. It seems that the building is infested with mutated humans with elongated limbs, clawed hands, sharp teeth and an ugly disposition. You're going to find yourself up against ghouls.

[section]Thistle smiled grimly to herself in satisfaction. It felt good to blow something to smithereens. Her nerves fired up again, however, when the building began to resound with howls and cries. She felt goosebumps rise on her neck and forearms. "We're gonna have company," she called to any of the others who might not have ventured forward toward the door when the drones appeared. Thistle turned to Floch. "Think we have time to barricade the doorway with these cubicle dividers?" She pushed on a divider, testing it for weight.[/section]

The dividers are easy to lift and disassemble. They are also light-weight and made mostly from cheap fabric and low quality plastic. Typical corporate garbage.

[section]Thistle hoisted one of the corporate cubical dividers, but quickly put it down, disgusted. "These aren't going to slow down anyone or anything." She scoffed, then started looking up, trying to figure out whether it was worth it find a perch higher up, maybe from the ceiling beams (if there were any).[/section]
OOC: If there's somewhere higher up to climb up to, Thistle will walk over and start climbing.

Floch moves toward the drones and touch them with the tip of his axe, after a loud snort and a grunt he peeks from around the corner from where they came to look for any signatures of hot spots.

Echo backs up to where the others are working, and despite having been spotted by the host's defenses, decides to try to grab something useful before she's forced to flee. The building should have a fire escape plan, most likely publically available, unprotected data. It wouldn't label the rooms but it would give a floorplan. Something they could use to find a chokepoint, or other defensible location, perhaps...

(OOC - Computers roll? Or will that need hacking? Reading a little, it seems like the file would be something Echo could recognize immediately, unless it was Hidden, then would use Computer+Intuition to access, again unless there was some encryption or security protecting it. During the turn she was doing that, the host would be able to take action against her however.)
