Forever Young and Beautiful?

You could always research a ritual to make you forever young. Probably around 8th level, cost of 12000xp requiring two months to cast and needing the sacrifice of some... oh lets say 56 virgins of the casters sex. Lets map out the ritual shall we? :]

1) Gather said virgins in one place and bind them to it. You'll want this in a safe place, probably your own keep. Remember too start this ritual on the night of the new/full moon.
2) Sacrifice one virgin a night and bathe in their blood each night. This must take place in an unhallowed area and unholy water can be used to dilute the blood. Gather all the blood and save it after each night.
3) On the final night you bathe in the blood you must drink the blood of every virgin sacrificed before the light of dawn. You will recieve magical and unholy aid in the process of downing that much blood as long as you continue to drink the blood. When the last drop is consumed you become forever young and gain the fiendish template or something similar(cause that whole chained of events was messed up).

Evil? Yes, but it satisfied the requirements and provides for an interesting adventure on the part of the heroes and the villain. I've rescued the defenseless maidens one too many times from this particular fate. My DM has a thing about this particular method of immortality.

This idea is especially cool because the real-life lunatic Elizabeth Bathory did it in the 16th century! :)

Sounds eerily familiar ;)

Do you still have a campaign or game in Eyros?
Haha, yes. It probably should ;)

As for an Eyros game, I now have two face-to-face Eyros games, one of which is a halfling-pirate-only game. I'm thinking of making a PbP Eyros game, but I'll save that for when I have more time.

Damn, that sounds cool.

I'm really sorry I haven't been able to whip those files into any sort of shape yet. :( Kneck-deep in both a WotC and a Necromancer gig right now, though. I'd still love to put it out there at some point.

Hey, no worries. I was just glad to help out, and I'll be proud of our finished product whenever it comes out, but I completely understand about how much of a time commitment it will take--and real work certainly comes first every time.

As for the halfling pirate campaign, it's definitely interesting. We don't have *only* halfling pirates, per se. There's also a Xal diplomat from the Cult of Fools and a captured Eyrian human who has a tattoo that makes her permanently size Small, like the halflings, and became a pirate (the twin sister of his character in the other campaign, who escaped the pirate raid). Now, they are trying to solve the mystery of a ghost pirate captain, Ashana Blacksail, and see if they can find her fabled treasure, while looting Eyrian ships as they go. Yo ho!

We could start on the web enhancements. :p

But to say something that has to do with the topic, bonding with the land works in certain settings, too.

Can you magic jar into something immortal? I thnk demons and celestials would be immortal and most celestials are beautiful.

Or try out the all new succubus style. You probably could get it for something as worthless as your soul....

I'm pretty sure that's why the idea is so common in literature (see: Diablo games, etc.)

Wow, the Diablo games are literature now? Who knew  :D

I should have said literature and pop culture. Nevertheless, if comics are graphic literature, popular computer games can be interactive fantasy literature.

Well since acording to the designers long life isn't a mechanical benefit which is why elves get it for free, game balance wise it should be like a cantrip. ;)
