forget celebrity gamers, we may have a political gamer!

Ventura stated recently that he won't seek a second term. He's going back to private life after the gubernatorial election is over and the new governor takes office early next year. It's good that he kept his promise to be a one-term governor; for all his faults, Ventura kept the big promises and that's more than most can (truthfully) say of themselves.

To bad I also dig Ventura. I bet he would still win since in any three way race he'd probably win the plurality......

Ventura was a wake-up call to the two primary parties in Minnesota. The question is, will they STAY woken up?

Personally, I believe that most politicians are righteous roleplayers. They try to play paladins, but they still can't hide the rogue levels on their character sheets. :)

Standard NPC politician- what do you think? Commoner 1 / Expert 3 / Ex-paladin 1 / Rogue 9?

I also really like Minnesota's Governor Ventura.

If there are any Minnesotans on the bard, Ihave a question: How is Ventura doing?

As a Minnesotan, I think I'm qualified to voice up on this one. Ventura is on his way out the door. His term is almost up, and he's decided not to run again (I think the whole thing has worn him out). Anything worth knowing about him is probably available online somewhere; not that much of interest politically, anyway. I'd say he's pretty much down the center. He hasn't been a bad governor, IMO.

I guarantee you the guy will one day run for president, and I wouldn't be surprised if he won, either.

But the best thing about his Governancy (to me, although I've only lived in this state about a year now) has been the morning radio talk show hosts, who can imitate the guy *to the tee*. It's hilarious. Has me in stitches every single morning to hear the guys on 93.7 making fun of him.

It's not making fun of him politically, just generally. He was a WRESTLER, for crying out loud. And he was in PREDATOR. Who didn't love him in PREDATOR??? And his ego is, shall we say, juuuust a little bit big.

[Jesse V. voice] I'm the BAHdee. [/Jesse V. voice] :)

More importantly, he had a friggin' MINIGUN in Predator. Is that cool or what? I say we need more politicians with miniguns.

Miniguns ARE cool, or you should get a life. It's an easy choise if you ask me. ;)

:D

True, very true.

In addition, the Bahdee had the best line in the movie, if you ask me... I don't remember the characters' names, but here's the line:

[single guy in movie who wasn't built like an olympic bodybuilder]: You're bleedin'.
[The Bahdee]: I ain't got time to bleed.
[single guy in movie who wasn't built like an olympic bodybuilder]: Oh. Oh really. (fires grenade launcher) ...You got time to duck? (grenade goes off, rains debris on them both)

Fricken AWESOME movie. :D

YEah, that scene where the whole unit just compeltely defoliates[/b] a section of Jungle with gunfire is great.

Ventura with his Minigun were the second best things in that movie:)

Wasn't Ventura using a 50 Cal. machine gun and the African American had the Mini??

I think maybe the Bahdee carried it, but then the black (almost blue) guy took it to mow down the jungle, in a rage of fury, trying to destroy the predator. THAT is the mini-gun, right??
