forgeting the treasure

I am new at d&d and did not know about the treasure after an adventure. I dont really mind missing out on the treasure as I dont think I could have used any of it anyway but I REALLY want my experience points!

I did AGLA1-1 temple of the fey gods in the living forgotten realms series. Does anyone know how much ex that grants?

Thank you!

It depends.

First of all of all, every Living Forgotten Realms adventure comes in two tiers of play, (low and high) and the different tiers come with different XP values. If you cannot remember, you probably played the low tier since you just started. XP for completing everything is 400 for the low tier 560 for the high tier.

Also this assumes that you succeed in all of the encounter. If you failed or missed a combat encounter or a skill challenge, you would receive less. (For example if you failed the fairy's test in AGLA1-1 you would lose 25 XP.

Also, on low tier if you did not take a magic item you get 125 gold.

Whoa! Are you my DM? And why is a 35 year old man using the name "princessjealousy"? :-S
Because he's married to the fishmonger's daugther, and he's that hot that he makes all the princess' jealous?

Welcome to the boards princessjealousy. I'm sure that's what tarionzcousin was trying to say :)

Erm, yes. That's what I meant. :D

You must spread some Experience Points around before giving it to jbear again
What? I don't remember that, therefore it didn't happen. I want to give jbear XP now!

Can someone please cover jbear for me? Thanks.

Welcome to enWorld and LFR! Your DM should probably have noticed that you weren't busy writing down XP and gold like everyone else, but stuff happens. Did they give an tracking sheet to keep track of your character's adventures? You can get one from the LFR Character Creation Guide, available here. I think it's one of the last few pages. Just print that one out and you'll be good to go.

The current version of the Character Creation Guide no longer includes a character record sheet, as players are no longer required to provide these. They are, however, a good way of keeping track of which games your character has played and what he gained from them. There's a custom record sheet available here.

Aside from Experience Points and Treasure, you should also have received a Story Award, which is a sheet including about 2-3 possible good or bad character-based outcomes from the adventure, some of which you may or may not receive based upon the party's choices during the adventure. Whilst the Story Award provides no tangible benefits, those outcomes may affect the way others react to you in future adventures.
