I loaned my book to a friend, so I can't look it up right now. What is the current year according to the book?

FRCS is around mid-late 1372 DR.

I guess new material sould start to take place in end 1372 - start 1373.

If I was the DM, I'd agree. But my DM usually goes by whatever year the campaign book starts from.

Then as time goes on, we add actually time passed from the release date to determine the new date for later games.

Nothing wrong in trying to remain faithful to publised work but the year was being pressed foward from the FRCS date.

Also your DM will find soon out that "consistence" is not part of WotC dicionary, that is expecialy true in reguards to the FR line were in it no longer appears to be any effort to maintain a consistent world, not even in reguards to 3rd ed published material.
