Founding of a Guild (4e)

[sblock=voda and ata]Malek looks around in the cage he awakened. Given, these reptiles are tougher than I thought.
He is glad, to still have most of his equipment, and watches the lizardfolk brustling through that seems to be their village.

He takes a cautious look at the warforged. He has read about them and had seen some in Nesiah, but was never that close to one. Judging from it's placement with him in this cage, it seems to be a 'prisoner', like him.

"Hello, my name is Malek, do you know more of this situation of ours?" He asks the warforged.

Elias sighs at the sight of the waste and corpses. He approaches Blizzard, Desh and Meriadeth to ckeck their status. The former are dead. Oly Meriadeth survived, though barely. He makes sure she's out of immediate danger, then looks at Isdar and Oak, as if asking what to do...

Isdar, spellshocked by the deaths of his new companions, looks around the clearing in a daze. It was just supposed to be a lone drake, he mumbles a few times. Finally shaking himself out of the worst of it, he looks at Elias and Oak. We should rest, help Meri recover, and then see about finding that thrice-damned, one-armed man. I knew we couldn't trust him.

OOC: I'm all for a short rest, double long so that Elias can heal up Meriadeth, then retracing our steps. We're at a major disadvantage for any upcoming fights, as we don't have a defender.

Elias looks horribly troubled for a minute or so, Meriadeth in his arms, again out of consciusness from the pain. Then, his expression full of regret, he looks back at Isdar and says: The poison has completely depleted her energy. She won't survive if she's not immediately healed by someone more competent than me... I... I'm sorry... You go on if you want but... I'll bring her back to the village and see if we can at least save her...

[sblock=ooc]ok Red, Garyh, I heard from Sarah and looks like she'll drop out too. So... you two are on your own for now... luckily both Oak and Isdar are skillful, hope you don't mind a bit of stealth and survival...
Moreover, Elias can't heal merry, 'cause now she's an npc, with only one surge, which she already spent.[/sblock]

"I think we should escort Elias and Meriadeth back to the village, Isdar," Oak says. "We're in no state to press forward, and while we can't help Blizzard and Desh, we owe it to Meriadeth to make sure she gets to someone who can help."

Oak then adds, anger in its deep voice, "Then we find the one-armed elf."

[sblock=ooc]just to make this clear, 'cause i don't know if you followed the ooc thread's discussion a bit. If you're worried as players that you two won't be enough, know that the two/three new players' characters are in the jungle.
That said, if IC you want to go back and recover or something, that's perfectly fine.
I won't guarantee for Elias' and Meriadeth's lives or will to follow you.[/sblock]

Be Gone!! And don't come back, you fools! You hear the disquieting voice again, and a faint flapping of wings in the direction of the thicker trees.

As you rest, you notice three things:

-The pool of water seems to be going under the roots of the trees like under a bridge.
-There's some moved dirt next to a tree in the middle of the area, as if a small dig was covered.
-There were no side paths in the path you came from, nor have you seen another carved way in from the outside of he woods, so it looks like if you don't enter the thick vegetation you can't advance further into the swamp.

[sblock= Atanopatatoe and zombie dad]Earth was looking down with his shiny green circular eyes. When the other prisioner spoke, he rised his head, and some dirt falled from it.
As he made an affirmative gesture, the plant growing in his back dances with a funny movement. "I'm called Earth." he replies, but says nothing more. The forged turns back to stare at the ground.
There's a little weed growing there, it almost looks like the creature is watching it grow.

[sblock=voda and ata]Great, and some say I would be mad for looking for secrets between the void of the stars. I betting they never met one who has a plant on his back and tries to discern the secrets between growing weed, Malek thinks.
"If you have more to say, I will be here, just standing in this corner..." ...not that I have much choice.

"Hey, you! Can I get something to drink? You know, water. Gulp, gulp." The tiefling calls at the nearest lizardfolk, gesturing wildly.

[sblock=voda,wd]the lizardfolk hears you, grips his crude spear and approaches the cage, then he violently strikes Malek on the head with the wooden back of the weapon. Then he hisses, in bad common: Ya kill'd ma brother of mine, ya fiend! Die thirsssty!, then he leaves you.[/sblock]

[sblock=voda and ata]More hurt in his pride than on his had, Malek stays silent for the time. Cursing his bad luck, this stinking swamp and this walking shoes and bags in making in his thoughts.
I need to know more and maybe some help to escape this unpleasantness. he thinks, looking at the warforged, his best chance for success for now.
