Why had you put the Crustacean template as OGL, but not the various real world animals, like albatross or seal? (I'm not talking of realms-specific animals like krotter or shaggun.)
The dire and were versions of them could have been OGL also.

Everything else was updates from old WoTC products. (Many animals came from the old FR MC compendiums.) We were unclear whether we could make them OGL or not, so we erred on the side of caution.

Maybe. Tom and I would like to do one, but no promises. We've got a list of another 200 or so FR-related monsters that haven't been updated yet.

We'd also like to update Volume 1 to 3.5e, but again, no promises.

i've long maintained that the Monsters of Faerun book should have been a hardcover as big as the Monster Manual.
