I must admit, when I get around to running this, I'm going to ditch the goblins and run with orcs. It's going to tie in nicely with some ideas I also have for the Sword Mountains based on existing Realmslore and some published adventures.

Anyway, I hope those blog posts show other DMs that Realmslore is not about Drizzt or ELminster fans dictating how your game should be played but sources of inspiration to make various areas much interesting locations for adventure.

Yeah, I read that about the Ukuth Urukh or something lost Orc kingdom. I'm so totally gonna steal that!

Uruth Ukrypt. And their name lives on in the Kryptgarden Forest... and the dungeon of Southkrypt.

Another thing I like about making orcs more of a focus - besides the whole LotR vibe - is that it ties in nicely with the presence of the orcs in Neverwinter. And I think if you're going to run any sort of campaign in this region it makes an enormous amount of sense to get the Neverwinter Campaign Setting and include the city as a major part of the sandbox and a FRC1 Ruins of Adventure-inspired sandbox in its own right.
