FR Novels-Which ones are good?

Who here has Forgotten Realms Novel recommendations?
I've read The Dark Elf trilogy(Homeland, Exile, and Sojourn), Elminster (The making of a mage, in Myth Drannor, and in Hell), and I'm currently reading Tymora's luck.
Which books are good and which ones suck?

I really enjoyed all the R.A. Salvatore ones, and the Elaine Cunningham (Songs & Swords) ones too.

I wouldn't classify ANY of them as great literature by any stretch of the imagination, but they're a good read so who cares?

I'd also recommend Elaine Cunningham when it comes to Forgotten Realms Novels. I haven't read her newest trilogy based in the Realms. However, I've read all her other FR work and found it very entertaining. More information about her FR books and the author can be found at her website: http://www.elainecunningham.com/

try the threat from under the sea trilogy, by mel odom. i couldn't put that one down.

they're not set in the forgotten realms, but paul kidd's justicar novels are quite good also. they happen to be based in greyhawk.

I agree that WotC novels cannot be considered great literature, but they sometimes make fun reading. The last one I read was actually somewhat fun (even though it had a gnome as supporting character -- ick!). It was "Temple Hill" by Drew Karpyshyn. I got turned onto it because it was written by a NWN designer. Anyway, not great lit, but I thought he did a good job with it.

Of course, you are better off reading something better than anything WotC puts out. Try Fritz Leiber instead.

Thanks for the replys. I'd like to hear what some more people think.
Oh yes I realize these are far from great literature, but the ones I've read so far were fun.
Anyone here read the Runelords novels by David Farland? This series would make an excellent d20 setting. The giving and taking of endowments could make some awesome characters and scenes.
A couple of my favorite fantasy novels series are the Elric saga by Michael Moorcock and the Vlad Taltos novels by Steven Brust. I highly recommend the Vlad Taltos series.

I really liked the Azure Bonds trilogy (not called this, but you know what I mean). I distinctly remember the first one as being very intricately plotted for my teenage brain and loved it! If you like these, remember to pick up the 10th (?) in the Harper series called "Masquerades". Same core characters, same great taste!

I certainly don't.

I think you should rephrase that to ask, "I enjoyed X, Y, Z; what other novels might I like?" You're just asking for comments like, "They all suck."

I can't recommend any Forgotten Realms Novels -- I tried to read The Crystal Shard ages ago and loathed it -- but I remember enjoying the original Dragonlance trilogy as a young teen.

Yeah, the FR novels are, in the main, pretty bad. Well, or at least, most of the ones I read were bad. I stopped after a while.
However, I do remember thinking that Darkwalker on Moonshae was pretty good. I believe it's by Douglas Niles.
Other than that.. mostly bad. However, if you like them, there sure are a lot of 'em out there.

The Cleric Quintet are excellent (and i believe the set can be purchased in a single hardback now)

The Moonshaes Trilogy was great as was the follow up the Druidhome Trilogy

The Time of Troubles trilogy was great Fr background and reading, including to the two follow up for it the Prince of Lies and Crucible.

The Harpers series have some excellent stand alone books too including Elfshadow. night Parade, The Ring of Winter and so forth.....
