FR The Abolethic Sovergnity

I'm planning on dropping this plot hook into the 9th/10th level of our Forgotten Realms campaign. I've been running H1-H3 and decided to mostly skip P1 and just ad-hoc some adventures for a while, it will be fun (H3 was particularly annoying, so i really chopped huge chunks out).

Anyway, while perusing the FR campaign guide i keep reading about the Abolethic Sovergnity, this floating citadel a mile high circled by thunderstorms, aboleths and krakens and served by lesser creatures like kua-toa (and maybe some pirates).

So i start brainstorming and photoshopped this picture together, i think it really captures the look of what a mile high citadel might look like coming at you across the horizon. I'm going to tie the Tower into the Far Realm, probably with Dalmosh and Torog, two other Far Realm entities the campaign has tampered with. From there, i'm not sure what i'll do. But the very idea of flying krakens scares the hell out of me, i can't imagine what reaction the PCs will have.

They'll probably want to start a new campaign.

That picture rocks on toast! The only things that looked odd to me were the flying fish (they throw off the sense of scale, IMHO).
