With the Silver Marches already out and The Unapproachable East and The Underdark coming up, I thought I'd post a thread asking fellow FR fans which region they would most like to see a suppliment book for.

Sadly, I couldn't include every corner of the Realms (The realms is a big place, after all), so if there's something you'd like to see, please state it in your post.

Cormyr and Sembia would be my vote. Cormyr, because after the recent events the place has changed so much since the last major sourcebook about it, and Sembia, because there never really was a major sourcebook about it.

I voted for the Lands of Intrigue simply because those places have interested me as long as I've been a Realms fan, although it was a tough choice. Amn with it's fear of arcane magic and emphasis on personal wealth, Calimshan with it's Arabian Nights style, etc.

I would also like to see a suppliment book about the North, and more specifically Waterdeep: Due to Undermountain and Skullport.

I'd love to see some books outside the standard FR material so voted Kara-Tur and the rest of the weirdos.

I'm with you Joe, something that hasn't been covered to death already would be good, i.e. anything not along the northern Sword Coast or Heartlands would be good.

Ahhh... a poll/thread near and dear to my heart.

I would like to see locations that have *not* be regurgitated time and time again (done so many times like WotC and TSR before them).

My votes are:
1) Chultan Peninsula (notably Tashalar, Lapaliiya, Samarach, etc).
2) The Island Kingdoms, assuming Nimbral and Lantan are in there.
3) The Shaar, Chondalwood, Border Kingdoms
4) The Demonlands (Vaasa, Damara, The Great Dale, Narfell - and *especially* Impiltur - actually, only *if* Impiltur and The Great Dale are there).

I do *not* want to see The North (done to death in more than 4 different products) or the Heartlands (more than 7 different products). Even updating/better detailing the Shining South (Halruaa, Dambrath, Luiren, Var the Golden, etc) would be better than vomiting forth the same thing over and over again, IMO. (Especially when all the products are fully available - cheap! - and virtually rules-independent.)

P.S. Sixchan - Not sure what you mean by Greyhawk and Rokugan...?

Im the opposite... I voted Cormyr becasue I think that there are general areas (Northwest/Central) that should be very well defined and detailed for DMs that want a rich backdrop and there should be other "loose" areas (South/Southeast) that are not as well defined [granted, I am not a long standing FR fan so I am not sure how much coverage is where, just what little I have seen seems to focus North and West]. This way, FR can benefit those who want high and low definition and be a well generalized place. Just my 2cp.

'Beyond Faerun' would have to be an entire series of books. You're looking at places that encompassed entire campaign settings in 2nd edition. No way all that information could be placed into one book

Personally, i'd like to see a book just on Cormyr and the surrounding lands since that is the principal area we play in.
