Hey,

Since I'm new to the forum, I thought that I'd point out the Call of Cthulhu d20 scenarios I wrote - geez, I guess it was two years ago, now. Still, they seemed to be doing okay for themselves.

The games are part of a campaign called Hardboiled I was working on back then. It's set in the 1920's, and tries to replicate the feel of film noir and hardboiled detective fiction, in particular the works of Dashelle Hammett and Raymond Chandler. Would appreciate any comments that anyone here might have on the adventures.

Thanks.

I have these and highly recommend "The Waters Over Heaven". It's both gruesome and apocalyptic in tone without necessarily destroying major parts of the setting (apart from the PCs, of course) and makes better use of mythology than most horror fiction I've seen, never mind game material. It gave me a new appreciation of the Mythos figure who appears in it.

I suspect it would be difficult to run "The Shadow in the Tree" without laughter, which might or might not be the effect the GM intended, though objectively the situation of the characters is far from funny.
