Ok, now I'm confused.
A couple days ago I got an e-mail telling me I could download and try Classic EverQuest for free between now and June 30th. They gave me an account key and everything. Well, I waited hours for the thing to download (on a DSL modem, so that was one BIG file), entered all the info they asked for, shut down my firewall (something I NEVER do) because it was causing problems...yada yada yada. Finally, I think I'm all set up, I enter my username and password -
- and I get a connection error telling me my subscription has expired.
WHAT?!
It's a FREE TRIAL! How could my subscription have expired? I just set it up today, it's supposed to be good for a month, and I got in well before the deadline. I tried setting up the account again but (for obvious reasons) it won't let me reuse the account key.
So...does anyone else have any experience with this free trial? Can you tell me what I have to do to actually GET it?
