Ask RPG Now for help (www.rpgnow.com). They're pretty good sorting things like this out and the technical problems are their domain.

It's times like these that I wish I had a printer, but I really can't afford the cost of ink. $30/$40 a pop for each carttridge (two cartridges for decent printing jobs) is too much of my pocket change.

I second printing in b&w. If you go to a refill store it works out cheaper too. I printed the Fat Dragon pdf for £12. What's that, about $22?

Printer ink is a crazy situation, though. It's actually become cheaper now (in the UK at least) to buy a new printer with half filled cartridges already fitted, than to buy replacement cartridges.

I find printing at work for free to be the cheapest option!

On a slightly more serious note, when our colour inkjet/scanner broke last year we switched to a B&W Laser Printer/Scanner plus a separate Colour Inkjet printer. We've saved a whole lot of money on ink this way.

Multifunction printers are useful but when they calibrate the inks every time you turn the thing on to scan something you run out of ink pretty quickly. And if you don't use the printer that regularly the ink just dries out anyway.

For the US folks here, check your local walgreens. Some of them have ink refill machines and they fill a black cartridge for about $10. Call ahead; they advertise this service, but not all the walgreens have the machine to do it.

Thanks,
Rich

Thanks! Now that I know I'd be getting stuff I'm not interested in even when free I can forget all about that survey. Cheers!
