Free RPG Day Dark Sun Adventure

My local store had nothing left by the time I was able to get there. It's a pity, I was ready to buy a lot of stuff to show support if I could have gotten something.

Was it only the one in Columbus supporting it this year? We did some errands early this afternoon, but they didn't take us that far north.

That's what I thought. I figured by the time we got up there they would be out of anything cool and that would have been the only thing we were driving that far north for.

the free darksun adventure
and an MM3 (okay this was not free, just 20% off)
and July 2007 dungeon mag. (2$)

Got there at 2:30 went the afternoon giving away began (I had been there earlier and missed out on the morning stuff) and the guy at the counter was about to just about to hand me the adventure when I went to the used rack and pulled out Stone and Fist and Defenders of the Faith ($6 & $7 each) "Of course, feel free to shop around," he laughed.

Took a quick look-through the Dark Sun adventure and thought it looked good. Haven't gotten around to reading the other books, though.

It looks like a good adventure. Thanks to everyone who replied with means of acquiring it - I'm not in the US though so no luck there. If anyone here runs a UK shop and has one left over please get in touch, I'll happily buy something else to go with it. Or if anyone has it in Japan - not bloody likely though .

I'm wondering if having so many skill challenges right off the bat might feel a little much...

I also find having two parties of three split with different goals interesting, if a little odd, since they don't oppose each other. However, it looks like a lot of story potential to have each group with different goals.

I just got back and they had another kit they kept for late comers which left them with maybe ten of the darksun adventures.
