Free RPG Day Dark Sun Adventure

The shop I went to, LA Mood's in London, Ontario, was fast running out of goodies by 11am! Fortunately they had extra free stuff in the form of last years Free RPG Day swag and some stuff from the WWD&D Days and D&D Encounters. I couldn't stay to play anything but the game room was packed. D&D, Pathfinder, Legend of the 5 Rings, Castles & Crusades and more were all being played & enjoyed.

I was lucky enough to snag the last copy of the Dark Sun adventure myself!

My countrie's shops (obviously) don't participate. I know that paizo has made their adventure available online. Do the others the same? Links please...

I would love to see the Darksun stuff as download on their website... but please more customer friendly zipped than their character sheets...

Wizards posted the Free RPG Day Adventure on their site, how cool.

I managed to go to my FLGS before spending the rest of the day scraping paint off a service project for my daughter's girl scout troop.

The store had a policy about 1 item per customer, and a limited selection.
I grabbed the Dark Sun Adventure. I noticed there was a sign up sheet for gaming that day. The store's manager was running the Dark Sun adventure, the Pathfinder one, and the new Legend of the Five Rings adventure. I started talking to him about the new game, and gushing over it.
I had brought my son, and another teen to help out that morning at the project. They both wanted stuff, I told them to get whatever they thought looked cool or sound fun to play. My son grabbed the L5R game and gave it to me for Father's Day yesterday. Sweet!
Had to share.

Yeah, I wasn't pleased at all. It just sucks because thats the only gaming store around me that is participating. As much as I want the Dark Sun adventure, I just don't feel like driving over an hour to the next nearest gaming store that is participating in Free RPG day.

Sounds to me like that store needs to be reported and banned from participating in free RPG day. Although, I'm not sure who you'd report them too.

One of the guys behind Free RPG Day is answering questions over at RPG.net in this thread, posts #92-98.

Basically, charging for the items or setting requirements isn't illegal - it's just not in the spirit of the event. And stores who do shady stuff may be required to sign a contract before participating in the future.

Another neat fact - it costs a store $60 to participate.

Yes.... sorry. I had had the link forwarded to me by one of players. And without confirming it, I got all excited and posted the link here and on rpg.net.

/facepalm....

Sorry.
It is just the pre-gens and not the adventure...
My mistake.
